viii. It also distributes information such as projections, publish forecasts to the general public about the supply and consumption of drinking water.
ix. They liase with the national water service to develop strategies used to impose the fees charged, premiums, as well as other on water charge services.
Water Service Strategies imposed by the National Water Service Board.
There are two major strategies used by NWSB in implementing strategies on supply of water to consumers.
a. National Water Service Strategy.
The minister of NWSB is responsible for gasketing the national water service strategy. He is also expected to review it from time to time. This strategy contains information on existing water services, the number of people provided with basic water supply and sewerage in an area. What plans are made concerning the extension of water services to remote areas. A time frame for the plan and an investment programmed for the plan.
b. National monitoring and information on water services.
This involves the monitoring of water systems. The water systems contain information on the methods used in collecting and managing data about water services and the procedures used in gathering data on water services.
NWSB is also expected to prepare annual financial reports on the water activities that have occurred.
